EYASI & SODA LAKE

Your activities include: Hadzabe Hunting – Hunter-gatherers, perhaps the most interested of all the Tanzanian people. They eschew most “civilized comfort” and don’t build huts, preferring rudimentary shelters of natural vegetation, caves, or even trees. Like baboons, they praise the meat more than any other. They also use powerful longbows and professional arrows to bring down game as large as elephant and buffalo, but for most of the year, live wild barriers. The Datoga are pastoralists; they are good at making local weapons from blacksmiths – spears, arrows, and more. Their girls are very pretty, especially when dressed in traditional beaded attire.

TANZANIA STAPLE BUFFET LOCAL LUNCH

Our buffet is prepared by local women and served hygienically at different places, from a family house to under the shadow of banana plantations/home gardens or the shade of an avocado tree. For larger groups of 30 clients, we facilitate a special outdoor place for them to fit comfortably and enjoy the meals while learning about local culture and traditions from our guides.

MTO WA MBU BIKE TOUR

We always ensure safety arrangements for riding bicycles around and across villages, allowing a break to stretch out after a busy schedule in your safari vehicle. In this larger village, you'll be transported to different places on bicycles, accompanied by locally trained guides. You'll discover all the village attractions and local activities for yourself, tasting fruits from markets and farms, trying local sugar cane, and sharing the stories of local people. You’ll also learn about banana plantation growth and have the opportunity to taste the banana fruits.

ELEPHANT CAVE TREK

After a nice breakfast at the lodge, head to the Ngorongoro Elephant caves tour. Embark on a 2 to 3-hour trek leading to the discovery of "Elephants Cave" while walking on the footprints of animals across rainforest paths. For comfort and guidance, you’ll be accompanied by an experienced guide and support staff. Ngorongoro nature trails and Elephant’s caves trekking tour is an ideal walking safari for wildlife and nature enthusiasts, offering an undisturbed personal adventure escorted by armed rangers to ensure comfort and safety during the trek inside Ngorongoro.

NGORONGORO NATURE TRAILS AND ENDORO WATERFALLS

For trekking enthusiasts seeking true contact with nature, the Ngorongoro reserve forests and Endoro waterfalls offer forest trekking through mysterious and dense ground-water forests. You’ll learn more about plants, insects, birds, and small mammals from knowledgeable local guides.

MAASAI TOUR

Mto wa Mbu is a small village engaged in agricultural and tourism activities, housing about 120 ethnic tribes living in peace and harmony. Your half-day tour includes visits to banana plantations, rice fields, and the local market to learn about life in this community. After breakfast at the lodge, proceed to Mto wa Mbu. Enjoy the Masai welcoming dance, introduction to a family leader, and learning about their history and traditions, including beadwork, living in Boma Huts, weaving, and the meaning behind the colors of beads used. Also, learn about the herbal trees that Maasai use as aphrodisiacs.
