As Losirwa Village lies in and around Mto wa Mbu near Lake Manyara National Park, there is much to see in the Lake Manyara on bicyle. We pass through the wildlife conservation corridor between Mto Wa Mbu Village and the game areas of the Lake Manyara National Park and down to the Lake Manyara. The Lake is one of the alkaline lakes of the Great Rift Valley in East Africa. The lake stretches along the rift valley and between the park, the lake has no out let so it deposits its water permanently. PLEASE KEEP YOUR BINOCULARS BY HAND! In the lake, there is much to see from flamingoes to a flock of beautiful water birds.

The Lake Manyara is fed by rivers and underground water springs from the rift Valley escarpment wall. The lake is teeming with tilapia fish and cat fish which are unique to the area and villagers are free and safe to swim in the lake and fish in the outside park boundary. On the plain beyond the lake, you can open view to the resident wild animals like giraffes, buffaloes, zebra, wildebeests, Thomson's gazelles, hippos, warthogs, monkeys, baboons and host of ground birds.
